Hello, I am Lauren, I am a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist

In my view, understanding the inner workings of your mind and making proactive changes to unhelpful thinking habits is the most important factor in really understanding yourself, learning to love and appreciate  who you are and moving towards good mental wellbeing and overall happiness. When you learn and implement the right techniques you have the potential to feel less stressed, anxious, down and overwhelmed and have the ability to take charge over your mental health in the future

Are you ready to take that step forward? Being a proficient and knowledgeable Cognitive Behavioural Therapist allows me to be your guide and support you to identify the ongoing and maintaining problems

  • I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I integrate a range of evidence-based tools and techniques into my therapy to meet each person’s unique needs. I see people in person at my clinic and also online via Zoom.

  • I have a decade of experience working with people’s mental health needs starting as a support worker in a residential setting and progressing through developing support groups with people from the community for a large charitable organisation

In 2014 I started to work in the NHS and received my first working insight of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. In this role I delivered short term and low intensity Cognitive Behavioural techniques. With this role I really started to see how the therapy has massive potentials to improve the lives of those struggling with their mental health.

In 2020 I graduated from a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies which enabled me to really enhance my skills as a therapist and move into a role as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

In 2023 I made the decision to move away from the NHS in order to achieve a better work and life balance and connect with my family. From here CBT Runcorn was born.

I currently continue to enhance my experience by attending regular trainings, staying up to date with new research and information in the field of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and utilise supervision.
